The Smell of Buttery Goodness

I usually buy plain ol’ Pam spray for cooking, but now that preterm labor concerns have forced me to delegate shopping to the hubs, I have to work with what he brings me.  One item he bought last time was butter-flavored Crisco spray. The first morning I used it, spraying a pan to make scrambled eggs, the scent made my son Eli stop in his tracks.

“WHAT is that good smell?” he asked.

When I showed him the can, he begged, “Can I please take that to my room and spray it around like an air freshener?”

Then I had to explain why that wouldn’t be a good idea—grease stains everywhere—and that no, I didn’t think that anyone made a butter-scented air freshener.

Crazy kid!
