Now that I’ve written my list of things I don’t love best about homeschooling, I feel compelled to share this article I just read about the lasting effects of homeschooling. A quote from the piece: “To anyone who has grown cynical about the kindness of strangers,” he wrote, “meet some homeschoolers. They will renew your faith.”
With very few exceptions, that has totally been my experience with homeschoolers, too. Meeting them is what encouraged me to give it a try…now here we are, four years later, still enjoying it (for the most part! LOL) and hoping beyond hope that our kids grow into the kinds of adults mentioned in this piece:
