I’m on the phone with my sister when Eli walks up to me carrying a long string.
“Mom, when you get off the phone, will you tie me to my chair?”
“What? No, of course not. I’m not going to tie you to a chair!”
“Please, Mom, please? It’s for a game!” he begged.
“No. I am not tying you to a chair.”
“PLEASE!!!”
“Eli, please. I am on the phone. Go ask your father.”
Meanwhile, my sister is dying laughing on the other end. Not quite a conversation you hear every day, is it? And I’m sure the hubs really appreciated my sending Eli his way with the same request.
